When I look back at how my journey in the engagement planning business began, I can trace it back to an unexpected moment during my university years. At the time, I was just a student with a few gigs on Fiverr. One of my offerings was something I called "I will be your hands and eyes in Rome," a service that involved helping people manage tasks remotely in the Eternal City. It was a flexible and interesting way to make some extra income, and I received all sorts of requests. But one request, in particular, turned out to be life-changing.
A man from Poland - Jakob - reached out to me. He explained that he was planning to propose to his partner during their visit to Rome, and he needed assistance organizing the moment. This wasn’t a typical task I had anticipated when I created my Fiverr gig, but it piqued my interest. I decided to take it on, and not just as another task to check off my list. I wanted to make it extraordinary.
I threw myself into the planning. From selecting the perfect flowers to scouting and preparing the ideal location, I ensured every detail was carefully thought out. I gave the client all the advice I could—suggesting the best time of day for the proposal, coaching him on how to ensure I take gerat pictures, and creating an atmosphere that was intimate and memorable in the midst of Rome's tourstic season. It was more than just fulfilling a request; it became a creative challenge, and I felt genuinely invested in the couple’s happiness.

The proposal went beautifully, and Jakob's partner - Ewa - had said yes.

Four years later, they are happily married, and I sometimes think back to how much that single experience taught me. It wasn’t just about the logistics of planning. It was about understanding emotions, paying attention to small details, and creating a moment that would become a lifelong memory.
That was the spark that inspired me to turn this passion into a business. I realized that I could help others celebrate their love stories with the same care and thoughtfulness. Today, as the founder of my own engagement planning business, I still carry the lessons from that first experience with me. Every client, every proposal, and every event is an opportunity to craft something unique and meaningful.
And it all began with a single unusual gig.
